Deviation Actions
Hey y'all!
It is time again to vote for the winner of the February Contest! I know I said it would be posted a few hours ago, but I don't think the delay should be too much a problem. As you might know (from all my journals on the matter), the theme for this contest was Paleolithic art. In total, there were three (3) entries to the contest, which are as follows:

by
Take a look at the entries and then decide which of these three pieces is the best representative of the theme for art of the Paleolithic. Like last time, votes are confidential and each person is restricted to a single vote in the poll (you only can choose one of the three).
You can submit your vote here in the doodle poll.
I will 'tally' the votes (end the poll) in one week's time. Next Friday (March 10th), I will announce the winner and their piece will be added to the featured artwork gallery (alongside the winning deviation from last month's contest). I am considering adding additional rewards to upcoming contests (with rewards being available for previous winners to maintain fairness).
Moving forward, March has already started and with the beginning of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere, which is typified by animals emerging from their hibernation dens, plants flowering, and nicer weather, it is only appropriate that the theme for the March Palaeolithikum contest to be.... Holocene extinctions!
The theme is pretty straightforward, so I won't bother explaining it too much. But suitable topics for the artwork include anything related to animals (or plants) that are dead as a dodo. This is the perfect contests for fans of thylacines, woolly mammoths living in their last refugia, dodos and moas and other giant island fowl, passenger pigeons, and so forth. This could also extend beyond biological extinctions: as this is an archaeology and anthropology-related group, cultural/social extinctions are also fair game.
Once again, remember to submit any entries to the appropriate gallery (Holocene!) and to give some sort of notification for the entry (tag me or the club in the deviation submission, comment on a related journal entry or send me a note).
Happy voting and creating, everyone!

Contest 3 The Holocene Extension
Hey guys,
Sorry for my lack of communication lately. I have decided to extend the third contest "The Holocene" until the end of April, so there is plenty of more time to get your entries in.
For those who have already made entries and those who will, could you please comment here with a link to your entry so that all entries can be collected by the deadline?
Thanks and sorry again,

This time, ten people participated in our poll. In the end, the poll finished with a tie for first place, so we will have two new additions to our Featured gallery.
With the poll now closed, the final results are as follows:

Paleolithic Art... and the next contest
Hello again,
This is the final chance to get in entries for the Palaeolithikum contest centered on the topic of Paleolithic Art. The current two entries and any additional entries submitted today will be added to a poll, which I will set up and post today at 8pm (CET).
The poll will be posted along with the next contest, which once again will focus a new theme, which will be revealed at that time.
And finally, I want to take a bit of a straw poll to see who here would be interested in a Palaeolithikum forum/message board. I have stated several times before that I wanted this page to be for art and discussion. However, there haven't been th
